The incumbent will be responsible for operating and maintaining a grinding machine through a preventive maintenance program and provide corrective maintenance as necessary.

Duties of this position:

• To operate a horizontal grinder at various landfills, conduct preventive maintenance and provide corrective maintenance as necessary;
• To operate equipment as required; in accordance with all policies and procedures;
• Complete daily reports and inspections as required;
• Assist and/or work with additional staff and operators;
• Efficiently complete duties as assigned and other maintenance duties as assigned;
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experienced and qualified excavator operator
• Experienced grinding operator
• Possess and maintain an Ontario driver's license

Additional Information:

This position is Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays, eight hours per day with possibility of overtime.

A daily allowance is paid when 100+ kms of travel is required.
